Main Event - 2008

So much to say.......

The children's activities were WONDERFUL! Many activities on Saturday - so we are posting a slideshow just for that. Check the sidebar.

A Puro Swing and La Perfecta - two Latin Bands to get us moving and dancing. We have received tons of great reviews from the audience. Demos - on Fire! Thanks to David Larson of Salsa Caliente Studio, Naomi & Doug of Champlain Tango Studo & Deana of Zumba!!

Day Two..........2008

Thursday the Children's activities showed the film “The Emperor’s New Groove”. Here are a few comments: "Fue estupenda la actividad de hoy. Mis hijas y yo disfrutamos la película y el encuentro muchísimo." by Tina Escaja

The Activities Begin! - 2008

As promised, this Blog is set up to keep you posted on the daily activities of the Latino Festival. Please check out the photos: click here or check the slideshow on the sidebar

The opening began with a Spanish/English Playgroup at Callahan Park. More than 30 kids participated in the fun. Families had an opportunity to interact in the cultural exchange. Tonight: To be screened in Spanish with English subtitles, “The Emperor’s New Groove,”. Snacks and a short concert will precede the film. Enter your name for a chance to win a Vermont Teddy Bear!

The evening began with a Salsa Lesson by David Larson of Salsa Caliente! Studio. Nice moves!!!! Remember the Latino Festival provides an opportunity to try new steps!!!!!!!!!!

and to begin the dancing (music by DJ Hector).........Parima Thai Restaurant in Downtown Burlington Hosted the Opening Latin Festival Social! Lots of DANCING! who knew that on a Wednesday night so many people wanted to dance! Sorry we ended early.....but let's save some dancing for the Party Cruise...........get those tickets now!!! David Larson completed his formal training at the Fred Astaire Dance Studio in Hartford, Connecticut, and later held positions as dance instructor, trainer, coach, and choreographer with the F.A.D.S. of New England.
